I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their week! I cannot believe we are already half way through March. I am excited that the weather is starting to get a little warmer, and staying that way. What is the weather like where you live?
Today I am going to give you a glimpse into my makeup bag and tell you all about my five beauty essentials. These are the items that I cannot go without and you will always find them in my makeup bag.
Eyebrow Pencil
It is probably fairly recent that I started doing my eyebrows everyday. I use to think it was an unnecessary step in my beauty routine and they looked fine the way they were. Now I don`t understand how I went so long without filling them in. Instead of being thin, sparse, and none existent they look more put together. I am just getting better at doing my eyebrows, it is a hard skill to master, and finally am happy with the way they look. My favorite brow product to use is NYX`s Micro Brow Pencil in the shade “Ash Brown.” I love this product because it is so slim, easy to store and bring anywhere with you, the size of the pencil makes it easy to fill in my brows and I love the spoolie on the end to comb out my brows. Not to mention it is a super affordable product.
Mascara
Mascara is the one product that if I am not wearing anything else, I will sometimes throw mascara on to make my eyes pop a little. Mascara is essential and such a great product to start using if you are just getting into makeup. It is so simple, but does so much. I love using Maybelline`s Lash Sensational, L`Oreal`s Voluminous Original Mascara and Lash Paradise Mascara.
I have recently gotten into wearing lashes on a regular basis because it really amps up your look. I have considered getting lash extensions for such a long time, but it is an investment and requires some upkeep. If you have lash extensions, what are your thoughts?
Bronzer
I am one pale person. The lightest shade in every foundation type of pale, so I love to add color and warmth to my face. If I had to choose between bronzer or blush, bronzer would win. My favorite bronzer is Physician Formula`s Butter Bronzer in the shade “Bronzer.” I tried out the shade, “Light Bronzer” when I first purchased but didn`t think it showed up well on my skin, so keep that in mind, even if you are fair skinned.
I am currently loving applying this bronzer with Morphe`s 437 for more definition on my cheeks or Morphe`s R2 for all over.
Foundation
Are we even surprised? Foundation is a must and creates the base of any makeup look. If I am not wearing foundation, I am probably not wearing makeup. Beauty Sponge
We need something to apply our foundation. I definitely favor sponges over brushes when it comes to applying my foundation. I think it just creates such a flawless finish, without leaving streaks. I am obsessed with Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I recently tried out a Sonia Kashuk beauty sponge, but unfortunately think it was discontinued during the re branding. Since I really liked it I will definitely be trying out more of her sponges.
